Chiemi Se

Chiemi wurde in Tokio geboren und begann im Alter von zwölf Jahren mit dem Klarinettenspiel. Sie gewann sowohl 2015 als auch 2017 den ersten Preis beim „Jungen Klarinettisten-Wettbewerb“ in Japan. 2021 nahm sie erfolgreich an der Seiji Ozawa Music Academy teil und erhielt im selben Jahr den dritten Preis beim Klarinettenwettbewerb in Japan.

Im Jahr 2022 wurde Chiemi als Preisträgerin der Akademie der Freunde der Tiroler Festspiele Erl in Österreich ausgezeichnet. An der Gustav Mahler Akademie in Italien spielte sie historische Klarinette. Im Winter 2021 kam sie nach Europa und setzte ihr Studium an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg bei Prof. Wenzel Fuchs fort.

Orchestererfahrung sammelt sie seit 2023 als Akademistin der Karajan-Akademie der Berliner Philharmoniker. Als Gast spielt sie regelmäßig mit den Berliner Philharmonikern, dem Deutschen Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, dem hr-Sinfonieorchester und weiteren renommierten Klangkörpern. Derzeit ist sie Stipendiatin der Rohm Music Foundation.

Chiemi was born in Tokyo and began playing the clarinet at the age of twelve. She won first prize at the “Young Clarinetists Competition” in Japan in both 2015 and 2017. In 2021, she participated successfully in the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy and received third prize at the 2021 Clarinet Competition in Japan.

In 2022, Chiemi was awarded a prize by the Friends of the Tyrolean Festival Erl in Austria. She also performed on historical clarinet at the Gustav Mahler Academy in Italy. In the winter of 2021, she moved to Europe to continue her studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Professor Wenzel Fuchs.

Since 2023, she has been gaining orchestral experience as an academy fellow of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. As a guest musician, she now performs regularly with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, and other renowned ensembles. She is currently a scholarship holder of the Rohm Music Foundation.
